Jitterz Coffee Roasters

Rigoberto Sánchez, Field Blend

Read timeunder 1 minute.

Rigoberto Sánchez is a field blend of Colombia's two most commonly grown varieties: Colombia and Caturra. In harvesting these two varietals, the Sanchezs allow overripe picking from the coffee tree, which delivers a fruity and floral forward cup profile. We caught on to this coffee late, looking for a similar cup profile to showcase in our cafes. It's been a little over a year since the harvesting of this coffee. However, our climate-controlled roastery has allowed Rigoberto's shelf life to thrive. This coffee is still peaking on our cupping table and in the brewed cup. Suppose we can say anything about this micro-lot from the Huila region in Colombia. In that case, it is that it's full of flavor, and it's become an in-house favorite. In the cup, we find a floral forward chamomile characteristic, a fruit note that of orange, and an extremely clean cup.
